Building My Excitement... And Nerves
With my departure day (from now on going to be known as D-Day) coming closer, and closer (little more than a month away), I'm getting freaked out and excited. I've never been out of the country before, not even the mainland U.S.A, and the prospect of going halfway around the world is both nerve-racking AND an amazing thing to think about. My fundraising is going well, though, and that's one less thing that I have to be worried about. Then I realized that I had raised enough money to send a kid to boarding school to a year, and that makes me even more psyched for this service trip. My only obstacle now is choosing what kid I want to send there. How do you choose from so many needy and respectful kids? That's the nerves part of my quickly-coming D-Day. But I think the excitement outweighs the nerves...
